 Adele’s 21: The Inspiration

» Don’t You Remember

It was the very last song that I wrote in Malibu. And again it kind of meets with my inspiration for “Rolling in the Deep”. I got really into, kind of, you know, country and stuff like that and old blues. It’s just to try and remember why you love someone in the first place and you kind of forget after a while you know, when you have floods of arguments and disagree on lots of things and you are kind of losing each other. It’s really quiet sad to sing it actually cause I’m admitting a lot of things about myself. Like I have very fickle heart and I do have a wandering eye. So it’s kind of yea, kind of confessing to a lot of things in that song which makes it quiet uncomfortable.

Anderson Cooper: I mean, there aren’t any gimmicks, it’s basically the power of your voice and what you’re singing.
